Derbio

The Derbio is a fast, agile predator that can be caught while trolling with light tackle, making it a great fighter and loads of fun to catch. Though it usually doesn’t grow very big, it makes up for size with its speed and strength. In Malta Derbio typically range between 20 to 40 cm in length and remain small in size, making them ideal for light gear fishing. They have a sleek, streamlined body with a vibrant silver colour, sometimes showing bluish or greenish hues depending on the light. Their energetic fight and striking appearance make them a favourite among inshore sport fishermen.
